Remote sensing techniques offer a host of practical and effective methods for determining land cover, density and quality attributes.

World Water Watch utilizes a host of satellite platforms to collect images at various levels of resolution and scale. These images provide terrain, cover and land use data critical to watershed and micro-basin delineation and analysis. Similarly, mutli-spectral remote sensing provides primary and supplemental information on a host of parameters influencing watershed hydrology and contaminant transport processes.

Aerial photographs and other data collection techniques are utilized or developed for site-specific applications. In all cases field verification surveys ensure data quality and reliability.
